Onboarding & Getting Started

First Launch

When you first open StationOne, the onboarding wizard guides you through initial setup.


Onboarding Wizard

The wizard walks you through several steps:

Step 1: Welcome

  • Introduction to StationOne.
  • Option to Skip the wizard entirely if you prefer to explore on your own.

Step 2: AI Provider Setup

  • Connect at least one AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.).
  • Enter your API key.
  • Local models check: StationOne detects if you have Ollama or LM Studio running locally and offers to connect.
  • Connected feedback shows confirmation on successful setup.

Step 3: Workspace Configuration

  • Create or customize your first workspace.
  • Set up initial tools and connectors.

Step 4: Ready to Go

  • Summary of your configuration.
  • Link to start chatting.

Feature Tour

After onboarding, StationOne offers a guided feature tour (powered by driver.js):

  • Highlights key UI elements step by step.
  • Shows where to find Chat, Operators, Scratchpad, Playbooks, and other features.
  • Can be dismissed at any time.
  • Can be re-triggered from Settings.

Getting Help

  • Nova: Click the Nova icon in the bottom-right corner to chat with StationOne’s built-in AI assistant. Nova can answer questions about how to use any feature.
  • Learning Center: In the Nova window, switch to Learn mode to browse documentation at support.stationone.ai.
  • Bug Reports: Click Bug and Enhancement in the sidebar to submit issues.
